I Went Through the Welcome Packages of All Eight Exchanges — Here Is the Result
I have been trading crypto since 2018. For this blog I personally went through the welcome programmes of eight exchanges — on test accounts with realistic $200–500 deposits, completed the starter tasks, and recorded exactly how much I received in coupons. This ranking is based on those numbers, not marketing headlines like "up to 30,000 USDT". Every entry links to a detailed article where I document the methodology.
Quick Pick
If you need one exchange right now — Bybit gives the largest realistic bonus and the best P2P. Full ranking below.
Ranking: Real Bonus at a $300 Deposit
The main table — not "maximum" but what I actually received:
| # | Exchange | Advertised max | Realistic at $300 | Strength |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bybit | 30,000 USDT | ~$40–60 | Copy trading, UAH P2P |
| 2 | OKX | 10,000 USDT | ~$50–90 | Web3 wallet, low fees |
| 3 | Bitget | 6,200 USDT | ~$45–60 | Spot copy trading, BGB |
| 4 | Gate.io | 6,666 USDT | ~$30–70 | Gate Startup, 3,800+ tokens |
| 5 | MEXC | 8,000 USDT | ~$30–60* | 0% fee permanently |
| 6 | BingX | 5,125 USDT | ~$25–50 | Grid Copy Trading |
| 7 | Hyperliquid | — | 4% discount permanently | No KYC, lowest futures fees |
| 8 | Binance | 100 USDT | ~$40–70 | BNB ecosystem, Launchpad |
*MEXC: coupon value is lower, but 0% fees provide an ongoing saving that exceeds any coupon for active traders.
#1 Bybit — Best Overall Balance
Bybit tops the ranking not because it pays the largest coupons in absolute terms (OKX sometimes pays more at $300), but because it combines: a solid bonus, the largest UAH P2P seller pool, leadership in copy trading, and a beginner-friendly interface. If this is your first exchange, start here.
#2-3: OKX and Bitget — Best Ratio at Smaller Deposits
OKX surprisingly showed the largest realistic bonus at $300 — $50–90. Plus a base fee of 0.08%, lower than competitors. Downside — a more complex interface for beginners.
Bitget is the best choice for $100–500 deposits: bonus is proportionally better than Bybit at smaller amounts, and it has the best spot copy trading on the market.
#4-6: Gate.io, MEXC, BingX — Specialised Exchanges
These three are not for your first registration but for specific use cases:
- Gate.io — oldest exchange (since 2013), 3,800+ tokens, Gate Startup for IEOs. For finding rare altcoins.
- MEXC — 0% spot fee permanently. For high-volume active trading the saving exceeds any welcome bonus.
- BingX — Grid Copy Trading better than competitors. For passive grid strategies.
#7-8: Hyperliquid and Binance — Separate Categories
Hyperliquid is not part of the "bonus race" at all — it is a no-KYC DEX with no welcome package, but a permanent 4% discount on futures fees. For experienced traders with $20K+/month volume the savings are real.
Binance has the smallest welcome bonus (100 USDT) but the largest BNB ecosystem: Launchpad, Launchpool, 25% fee discount. A second exchange, not a first.
Methodology: How I Calculated "Realistic at $300"
On each exchange: register via affiliate link → KYC → deposit ~$300 via P2P or transfer → complete the basic starter tasks (first spot trade, first futures trade, copy trading subscription where available) within the first 3–5 days. The recorded coupon total is the "realistic" figure. The advertised maximum ("up to X USDT") requires $50K–100K+ deposits and months of high-volume active trading.
Bottom Line: My Strategy
Personally I keep active accounts on four of the eight: Bybit (primary), Bitget (secondary primary), MEXC (new tokens), Hyperliquid (no-KYC futures). Registering on multiple exchanges does not conflict — bonuses do not exclude each other, and diversifying across platforms is itself a healthy habit.
