Best Crypto Exchanges 2026
Independent rating and comparison of trusted cryptocurrency exchanges. Choose a reliable platform for trading.
About this rating
BinExpart compares eight crypto exchanges commonly used by traders in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan: Bybit, Bitget, Binance, BingX, MEXC, OKX, Gate.io, and Hyperliquid. For each one we track spot and futures fees, leverage limits, country access, P2P and copy trading support, plus hack history and how the exchange handled it afterward.
Access in the region shifts faster than most comparison sites keep up with: on October 16, 2026, Bitget added Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan to its banned-country list, and Binance and OKX had already exited the Russian market in 2023 and 2024 respectively. We track changes like these and update exchange pages within days of confirming the news.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best crypto exchange in 2026?▼
There's no single winner. Bybit, Binance, and OKX lead on liquidity and user base, MEXC and Gate.io carry the widest range of altcoins, and Hyperliquid suits traders who want futures without opening a custodial exchange account at all. Check the full comparison table and methodology to weigh it against your own priorities.
Which exchanges can I use from Russia or Ukraine?▼
Since October 16, 2026, Bitget has blocked Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Binance exited the Russian market in 2023, and OKX did the same in 2024, so P2P and some features are now limited there too. Traders in Russia still have de facto access to Bybit, BingX, MEXC, Gate.io, and Hyperliquid. Users in Ukraine can reach all eight exchanges, except in currently occupied territories, where MEXC applies its own restrictions.
How do I pick an exchange for futures trading?▼
Look past the maximum leverage number (MEXC goes up to 500x, Gate.io to 200x, Bitget and BingX to 150x) and check futures fees, order book depth on the pair you trade, and whether your country faces any restrictions. Higher leverage raises liquidation risk just as much as potential profit.
Is it safe to keep crypto on an exchange?▼
No exchange is fully safe. Bybit lost roughly $1.4-1.5 billion to a hack in February 2025, and Bitget lost about $388 million in September 2026. Both said user balances stayed intact and restored withdrawals within days, but that's no guarantee for next time. Keeping your entire balance on one exchange is risky; move part of it to a personal wallet.
What is an exchange referral bonus?▼
It's a reward for signing up through a referral link, usually tied to a deposit and a trading volume requirement. Figures like Bybit's "up to 30,000 USDT" describe a marketing ceiling, not a typical payout: with a $40-100 deposit the real bonus is far smaller, and hitting the cap takes roughly a $250,000 deposit and matching 30-day volume.
Do I need to verify my identity (KYC) to trade?▼
It depends on the exchange. Bybit, Bitget, Binance, OKX, and Gate.io require full verification. BingX and MEXC let you trade with limited caps before completing KYC, and Hyperliquid needs none at all: you just connect a wallet.
