Hyperliquid — a Different Kind of Registration
I have been trading since 2018, on Hyperliquid since 2024. It is a DEX: no email, no password, no KYC. Instead — a Web3 wallet (MetaMask or Rabby). The process is more complex than CEX but if you know Web3 — 10 minutes. If not — 30 minutes with this guide.

Step 1. Install a Web3 Wallet
MetaMask or Rabby Wallet → create wallet → save seed phrase (12 words) on paper offline. Without it, losing access means losing funds permanently.
Step 2. Get USDC on Arbitrum
Hyperliquid uses USDC on Arbitrum. Recommended route:
- Buy USDT on Bybit via P2P.
- Convert USDT → USDC on Bybit spot.
- Withdraw USDC to Arbitrum to your MetaMask address.
Or via the built-in bridge at app.hyperliquid.xyz → «Bridge».
Step 3. Connect to Hyperliquid
app.hyperliquid.xyz → «Connect Wallet» → MetaMask → confirm. The 4% discount activates on first deposit via the affiliate link.
After bridging: «Vault» → transfer to «Perps» or «Spot».
Step 4. First Trade
Interface resembles CEX: pairs (BTC-PERP, ETH-PERP, 200+), Market/Limit orders, up to 50x leverage. Futures fee: maker 0.01%, taker 0.035%.
DEX Safety: What You Need to Know
- Seed phrase = your money. Never enter it on any website. Store on paper.
- Check the URL — app.hyperliquid.xyz.
- Smart contract risk. Do not keep all funds on a DEX.
- Revoke approvals — periodically via revoke.cash.
